How fast can a booking actually happen?
Honestly? In central Athens, most evenings, between forty minutes and an hour and a half from the call to the door. That covers confirming availability, the companion getting ready, and the taxi.
Some qualifiers worth knowing:
- Central Athens is fastest. Syntagma, Kolonaki, Plaka, the hotel strip on Vasilissis Sofias — typically under an hour.
- Northern and southern suburbs add time. Kifisia, Marousi, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni: allow ninety minutes, more between six and eight in the evening when the traffic is genuinely bad.
- The airport is its own case. Allow at least ninety minutes and call before you land rather than after.
- Weekend nights are busier. Friday and Saturday after eleven, the popular companions are booked. Calling an hour earlier makes a real difference to who is available.
Anyone promising twenty minutes anywhere in Athens is either not counting the travel or not sending the person you chose.

Between midnight and three, you will usually have a reasonable choice in the centre and along the coast. If you are arriving on a late flight and know you will want company, call from the airport or even before you board. Booking ahead costs nothing and removes the only real uncertainty.

Athens hotels do not police guests receiving visitors, and a companion who arrives dressed for the setting walks through a lobby without drawing a glance. Payment is cash, in euros, handed over at the start. There is no deposit, no transfer, no card. If anyone advertising in Athens asks you to send money before a meeting, that is the end of the conversation — it is the most common scam in this market and it has no legitimate version.
The travel supplement for the outer suburbs is the only thing added to the profile rate, and you will hear it before you commit rather than at the door.
Making the call
The conversation is short and unremarkable. You will be asked four things: which companion, what time, roughly how long, and where. That is the whole of it. Nobody asks your name beyond what is needed to find you, nobody asks why you are calling, and nothing is written down afterwards.
If you would rather not speak, WhatsApp and Viber both work and are answered as quickly as the phone. A message saying “Is Elena free tonight around eleven, two hours, hotel in Kolonaki?” is enough to get a yes or no straight away.
Give a real room number and a working phone. Almost every problem we see comes from a wrong room number or a phone that stops being answered while the companion is standing outside.
Choosing when you are in a hurry
When you want someone tonight, the temptation is to pick from photographs alone. A better approach is to say what kind of evening you want and let us narrow it.
Tell us if you want conversation or quiet, whether you are in a hotel or at home, whether you have an hour or the rest of the night, and whether English needs to be fluent. Thirty seconds of that gets you two or three names that will actually suit, rather than a name that looked good in a photograph.
If you have booked with us before and it went well, say the name of the companion — if she is not free we will suggest whoever is closest in manner rather than closest in appearance, which is usually what matters.
Discretion, briefly
We hold nothing after the booking. No client list, no notes, no marketing. Nothing appears on a bank statement because there is no card payment to appear. The number you call does not identify itself if you ring it back from a shared phone.

Συνοδοί translates literally as companions and is the more formal word — it is what appears on agency sites and in anything written to sound respectable. Συνοδοί πολυτελείας adds “luxury” and generally signals higher rates.
You will also see the English words used directly in Greek listings, because a large share of the market is visitors. None of this changes what you get. It is worth knowing mainly so that you can search in either language and understand what you are reading.
Hotels and apartments — the practical differences
Most bookings in Athens happen in hotels, and they are the simplest arrangement. Give us the hotel name and your room number. The companion goes directly to the lift and to your floor; she does not call the room from reception and she does not ask at the desk. If your hotel is one of the handful in Athens that registers visitors, tell us in advance and we will handle it differently rather than discovering it at the door.
Private apartments need slightly more from you. We need the street and number, the floor, and the name on the buzzer — which is frequently not your name, and is the single most common cause of a companion standing on a pavement calling a phone that is not being answered. If parking is difficult in your street, worth saying.
Serviced apartments and short-let flats sit between the two. They are usually the easiest of all, because there is no reception at all.
One practical note for either: have the entrance lit and your phone in your hand for the last five minutes. It sounds trivial. It removes almost every awkward arrival.
If something is not right
Occasionally a booking does not go as it should. The useful thing is to say so immediately rather than afterwards.
If the person at your door is not the person in the photographs, do not proceed. Call the office there and then. This does not happen with our companions, and on the rare occasion something has gone wrong at our end we would far rather fix it in the moment than hear about it the following week.
If a companion is significantly late, call us. Athens traffic is genuinely unpredictable between six and eight and around any protest in the centre, and a delayed companion is usually exactly that — but you should not be sitting there guessing.
If your circumstances change and you need to cancel, the earlier the better and there is no charge for reasonable notice. Cancelling at the door repeatedly is the only thing that will make us decline your next booking.
Booking the same companion again
A large share of our bookings are repeats, and it is worth understanding how that works because it is genuinely easier.
Once you have met a companion and it went well, ask for her by name. If she is free you will often get a shorter lead time than a first-time booking, because she already knows the hotel, the area and what you are like to spend an evening with.
If she is not available, tell the office who you saw last and what you liked about it. That is far more useful than a description of appearance — we can match manner, conversation and energy, and those are the things that determine whether a second evening is as good as the first.
Regular clients also get more flexibility on timing. Somebody who has booked half a dozen times and always been straightforward is somebody we will work harder to accommodate at short notice on a busy Saturday.
Athens through the year
The city has a rhythm and it affects availability more than most people expect.
Spring and autumn are the steadiest periods. Good choice most nights, short lead times, and the weather makes dinner dates and longer bookings pleasant.
Summer shifts everything towards the coast. From late June the southern suburbs — Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni — are busier in the evenings than the centre, and bookings run later into the night. August is the one month where booking a day ahead genuinely matters, because a portion of the roster is working the islands.
