An outcall booking in Mykonos means the companion travels to you — your hotel, your villa, or wherever you are staying. It is how most island bookings happen, and it is also where nearly all the friction is, because on Mykonos getting anybody anywhere is the hard part. This page is about making that work.

Why outcall is harder here than in Athens
In Athens an outcall booking is routine: she gets a taxi, traffic is predictable within half an hour, and an arrival window of an hour to ninety minutes holds almost always.
Mykonos does not work like that. The island has famously few taxis for the volume it takes in summer — a queue at the Chora rank in August is normal, and simply not getting one at all happens. Buses stop earlier than visitors expect. Roads to the beaches and the far side of the island are slow, single-track in places, and choked between six and nine in the evening when everybody moves at once.
So an outcall arrival time on Mykonos is an honest estimate rather than a promise. Anybody quoting you a precise minute in August is telling you what you want to hear. We would rather give you a real window and meet it.
What that means practically
Expect a wider window than you are used to — often ninety minutes to two hours from confirmation, and longer for the far beaches or the north of the island.
Book earlier in the evening than instinct suggests. A booking confirmed for ten works far more reliably than one confirmed for one in the morning, when transport has largely stopped and getting her home afterwards becomes its own problem.
And build slack into your own evening. If you have a dinner reservation at nine, do not schedule a booking for eight-thirty on this island.
Where you are staying changes everything
Hotels in and around Chora, Ornos, Psarou and Platis Gialos are the easiest. They are close to where companions stay, the roads are the island’s best, and the staff are entirely used to guests receiving visitors — no register, nobody stopped in the lobby, no call to your room.
Give us the hotel name and your room number and she goes directly to your floor rather than waiting downstairs. That is both faster and less conspicuous.
Villas are the most common Mykonos accommodation and the hardest outcall destination anywhere we operate. They are frequently unnumbered, on unnamed dirt tracks, and known locally by the owner’s name rather than any address. A written address is often worthless.
Send a dropped map pin. Not a description, not a villa name — a pin. It is the single most useful thing you can do for an island booking and it removes the most common failure entirely.
The far beaches and the north — Kalafatis, Elia, Agios Sostis, Panormos — are covered but genuinely far. Expect the longest windows and the largest travel supplement.
If there are other people in the house
Villa bookings frequently involve other guests being present, and this needs saying on the phone rather than discovering at the door.
It is not a problem, but it changes what the companion is agreeing to, and she is entitled to know beforehand. A quiet booking in a private room is a different proposition from arriving into a house with eleven people around a pool.
If it is a group setting, say so when you call. It changes who we suggest and it may change the rate. What it should never do is come as a surprise on arrival.
What it costs
Mykonos rates in season run above the Athens range of €150 to €250 an hour. That is structural rather than opportunism: island accommodation costs a multiple of the mainland, the season is roughly fourteen weeks, and every booking carries far more travel time than its Athens equivalent.
Outcall carries a travel supplement, and it scales with distance. Chora and the near beaches are the smallest; Kalafatis, Elia and the north are the largest. You are told the combined total on the phone before you agree — never a base figure with a supplement introduced at the door.
Longer bookings are much better value per hour here than in Athens, because the fixed travel cost is spread across more time. An hour on this island is poor value in a way it merely is on the mainland.
Overnight bookings are the best value available and are the most common booking type in peak season — partly because once she is there, the transport problem disappears entirely.
Payment is cash in euros at the start. No deposit, no transfer, no card, at any time of year.
The cash problem, specifically
Worth its own section because it catches people out every August.
ATMs in Chora run dry with some regularity at peak season, and the ones that still have money develop queues. Card payment is not an option for a booking, so arriving at midnight with no cash and a plan to find a machine is a plan that fails.
Draw the money earlier in the day, in euros, and have it ready before she arrives. It takes two minutes and removes the single most avoidable problem on this island.
Book ahead — more than you think
Same-day outcall works in May, June and September more often than not. In July and August it frequently does not.
Two days is realistic in peak season. A week is comfortable if a particular companion matters. The reason is not gatekeeping — there are simply fewer companions on the island than in Athens, demand between late June and early September is intense, and the ones working there are booked days rather than hours ahead.
If you already know your dates, call when you book the accommodation rather than when you land.
The season
May and early June. Good availability, rates closest to Athens levels, roads still moving. The best value window of the year.
Late June to July. Busy. A day or two ahead.
August. Peak, and a different market. Days ahead, widest arrival windows, genuine unavailability at weekends.
September. Often the best month for this — fully open, crowds thinning, transport usable again, availability improved.
October to April. The island largely closes. We can occasionally arrange somebody travelling from Athens with real notice, and will say plainly when we cannot.
How to book
Call, WhatsApp or Viber — the same office and number as Athens, answered from late morning until around six the following morning, seven days a week, in Greek and English.
Give us the dates, the time, roughly how long, and where you are staying. For a hotel, the name and room number. For a villa, a map pin and the area. Mention if you have transport, and mention if other people will be in the house.
You will be told honestly what is possible, given one total including travel, and offered alternatives immediately if your first choice is not free. If nothing is available on your dates you will be told that rather than kept waiting.
Discretion on a small island
Mykonos is physically small and socially smaller. In August the same few hundred people rotate through the same beach clubs and restaurants, and a surprising number of them know each other.
Outcall to a hotel is straightforward — nobody notices anybody. Outcall to a villa in a shared setting is inherently less private, which is worth weighing when you choose between the two.
We keep no client records: no database, no booking history, no note of who met whom. There is no card transaction and therefore no statement line. The office discusses clients with nobody.
What goes wrong on island bookings
The advance deposit. More common here than anywhere, because “high season, secure your slot” sounds plausible when everything genuinely is booked out. It is a scam without exception, at any time of year.
The unfindable villa. Not dishonesty, just geography — and entirely solved by a map pin.
The seasonal listing. Numbers that exist from June to September and vanish in October, with no organisation behind them and no reputation to protect into next season.
The price that grows. One total, agreed beforehand, travel included.
Safety
Be reachable. Island phone coverage is patchy in parts of the interior and in some villa areas, and a companion who cannot reach you cannot find you. Answer for the last fifteen minutes rather than ten.
Have the cash ready. Do not drink so much across a long island day that the evening becomes difficult to conduct.
Treat a boundary as final the first time it is stated. Boundaries belong to the companion, in the moment, whatever was agreed with the office.
Companions tell the office where they are going and somebody answers the phone the whole time they are out — which matters more on an island of unnamed tracks than it does in central Athens.
Outcall or incall — choosing on this island
Worth deciding deliberately rather than defaulting, because on Mykonos the two are genuinely different propositions.
Choose outcall if you have no vehicle, if you are staying somewhere with its own comfort and privacy, if you have been drinking, or if you simply want the evening to happen where you already are. This covers most people and it is why mykonos outcall is the majority of what we arrange here.
Choose incall if you have a car, quad or scooter, are staying in or near Chora, and want the timing to be predictable. Going to her removes the island’s transport from the equation on her side.
